Summary of the Report
UPDATED HOUSING BUBBLE INDEX AND RENTAL STRESS INDEX
We have updated the data on the indicators of the Housing Bubble and the Rental Stress for the first half of 2020. A first analysis of the indicators shows the following results:
- We improve the data by census tracts for both indexes.
- As for the Housing Bubble, we see an increase in the number of census tracts with a bearish housing market and the number of overpriced areas also fell by 70%.
- The Housing Bubble in Spain fell from 3.15 to 2.90 and the main regional capitals dropped from 3.79 to 2.92.
- As for the rental market stress, the rental market is still stressed but less than a year ago. The Rental Stress index in Spain fell from 2.16 to 1.87 and the main regional capitals dropped from 2.76 to 2.19.
