Economic and Real-Estate Indicators Num. 33

August 2023

Over 50 indicators of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector

Here is the 33rd issue of our GIX Report where we share the reality of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector every month.

The advance data of the Quarterly Accounts published by the INE show positive figures, despite decreases compared to the previous quarter. Domestic demand is maintained due to the increase in Public Administrations’ spending (the only demand component to increase). Construction investment, both in housing and non-residential, also shows increases compared to the same period in 2022. External demand falls in both parameters (X and M). On the supply side construction and services contribute strength to GDP.

The Consumer Confidence Indicator continues to surprise with one more month increasing the overall good sentiment; on the other hand the services PMI maintains a downward trend since March this year.

Financial markets in line with the ECB monetary policy.
