Economic and Real Estate Sector Indicators No. 67

June 2026

Over 50 indicators of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector

Here is the 67th issue of our GIX Report where we share the reality of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector every month.

On the macroeconomic front, a key development this month was the publication of the preliminary CPI by the INE, which remained at 3.2% – a somewhat surprising result, as forecasts had predicted a higher figure. The figure may be skewed by government fuel subsidies, but what may appear stable is actually very likely to rise again, as geopolitical and military conflicts have not ended, remaining a cause for concern for the ECB.

A rise in prices affects consumption and investment, and is therefore likely to impact future GDP figures.

The external sector saw significant declines in year-on-year growth rates in the first quarter of 2026, for both exports and imports of goods.

The residential property sector has seen no change compared to recent months, with the housing issue remaining a cause for concern for the Spanish economy.
