Economic and Real-Estate Indicators Num. 59
October 2025
Over 50 indicators of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector
Here is the 59th issue of our GIX Report where we share the reality of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector every month.
At the end of September, the INE published the revised CNTR data for the second quarter, as well as the series for the last three years, where the rates recorded in the flash data have practically increased. GDP increased by 3.1% in the second quarter of 2025, compared to 2.8% in the flash data, which affected the series from previous years and was due to a residual effect (carry over) from revised previous data. The Gross Fixed Capital Formation component is one of the most enhanced, and consumption to a lesser extent, which, in summary, is interpreted as a net balance of improvements and decreases in the revised data compared to the previous provisional data.
On the supply side, industry is making some progress, but the most notable increase is generated in the construction sector and its derivative within the services sector, real estate activities. There is a strong demand in general, but it is not being met in some sectors. Therefore, in addition to rising costs, this is reflected in the prices of some final products, such as housing, in addition to other factors related to legal certainty and the free market.
Inflation figures have fluctuated in recent months, with figures closer to 3% than the lower limit of 2% set by the Monetary Policy.
As a new metric on the dashboard, the price of unsecured housing according to notaries has been added, showing an annualized increase of 4.7% from 2022 to May.
