Economic and Real Estate Sector Indicators No. 64
March 2026
Over 50 indicators of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector
Here is the 64th issue of our GIX Report where we share the reality of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector every month.
In the last month, based on available data, there has been a slight decline in the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) to 76 points, down 4.6 points from September last year. The same is true of the PMI services leading indicator (purchasing managers’ index), which fell by 3.6 points compared to December 2025.
In the labour market, GDP growth, more employment, more people in work, but greater rigidity in filling positions that are essential for production and where the foreign population is playing an increasingly important role (Beveridge curve). Social security enrolment maintains its growth rate at an average of 2.3%.
Meanwhile, the financial markets, especially the IBEX-35 as a source of financing, continue to show remarkable growth.
The residential real estate sector remains in the same situation as in previous months, with low supply, high demand, excessive market intervention and legal uncertainty, which logically helps to generate increases in sales prices and rental incomes.
