In fact, the price of housing has been rising steadily over the last few years, which would mean a significant outlay or it would not be viable for many people to pay for it in cash. For this there is the tool of requesting a mortgage from a financial entity that advances the monetary part that is needed or complements the purchase of the asset. Due to these particularities, it could be a paradox that the number of homes bought in cash exceeds the number bought with bank financing, but the reality is that this is not an isolated fact at the present time, where, as can be seen in the graph that has been drawn up with data from the Notary&#8217;s Office, the percentage of homes bought without financing is 53% of the total, compared to 47% bought with external financing.<\/p>\n<p>This has recently been the case since 2022, although if interest rates remain at current levels or even fall to around 2%, the curves will likely invert again in favor of applying for a mortgage, not to mention that not everyone can afford a home without assistance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homes purchased with a mortgage and in cash.
