House prices and the evolution of transactions in Spain

The price of housing in Spain and with data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) and based on 2015 indices as a base, has shown a continuous decline for second-hand housing from 2007 to 2013. In the case of new construction, there was a temporary upturn in 2008 but then the line also shows a decline, milder than for second-hand housing, both until 2013, which marks the turning point for new and second-hand housing. From 2013 onwards, there has been notable growth, with a steeper slope for new construction, reflecting increases of 79% for new construction and 49% for second-hand, taking 2015 as the base period, as can be seen in the graph. The importance and necessity of sustainable infrastructure

The evolution, as an example, of the stock of private capital as a set of inputs used in the total production process (GDP) for Spain has evolved increasingly except in recent years (MFI data to 2019) when it has stagnated, showing the importance of infrastructures.
