January 2025

Over 50 indicators of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector

Here is the 50th issue of our GIX Report where we share the reality of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector every month.

Continuity in the path of a stable GDP growth that will probably end the year with a rate of 3.0% or thereabouts, driven by the domestic demand side, especially the contribution of the Public Sector. Construction investment shows positive figures, with weak growth in the housing part. Exports and imports have improved compared to the previous quarter. On the supply side, construction reflected in the third quarter a year-on-year rate of 4% in real terms and real estate activities 7.6%.

Inflation since September reflects increases in the data published by the INE and is expected to remain in the vicinity of 3.% in the month of December, and what may be more worrying is that core inflation is following closely behind, showing no signs of weakness.

It has already been mentioned that the situation in Europe is different from that of the US, and that the ECB will continue to lower interest rates to warm up the German and French economies, and the countries with greater price tensions may suffer internally.
