Economic and Real-Estate Indicators Num. 45

Here is the 45th issue of our GIX Report where we share the reality of the Spanish economy and real-estate sector every month.

With advance data from the Quarterly accounting published by the INE, a better GDP growth path is observed for 2024 than that forecast a few months ago, as published by the main economic forecasting institutes. The seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted GDP figure of 2.9% year-on-year, has been supported by the improvement in foreign demand, investment in capital goods and the maintenance of private consumption.
On the other hand, inflation has not managed to break the 3% barrier and neither has core inflation, with three consecutive months at 3%. Costs in a broad sense remain high.

For the moment, the leading indicators of the Consumer Confidence Index and the Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) are in the positive zone (>50 points), suggesting that the latter should be monitored.

Leading residential indicators remain on the same trend as last month, with a slight increase in the number of transactions.
